The old mooring site was compacted, filled in, and paved, and a new Rockwall was built, creating nearly 500 square metres of new public open space.

The new fencing also extends to the Wigley Reserve playspace. The design on the Corten steel panels is titled Munaintyarlu and captures the essence of the Kaurna people's connection to the Patawalonga River.

As a result of the rejuvenation works, the continuous footpath has improved connectivity to the playspace, kiosk, car park and pedestrian loop around the Patawalonga.

A new shelter and two picnic settings will be installed next month.
