Project Overview

The City of Holdfast Bay will be renewing seven beach access points in Glenelg between the Glenelg Jetty and the Broadway Kiosk. One of these sites includes the access point directly north of the Glenelg Jetty, which will provide access to Glenelg Beach and the Moseley Beach Club and will be fully wheelchair accessible.

The overall works will consist of both ramps and stairways which will improve accessibility to the beach for members of the community and have greater ability to cope with fluctuating sand levels. The new beach access infrastructure will also be constructed from durable marine grade materials including a permeable high grip mesh material surface to improve safety and usability for the community and reduce maintenance requirements for Council.
