The overwhelming issue raised was the Transforming Jetty Road Glenelg project and associated funding and debt levels.

Council’s Long-Term Financial Plan shows the total forecast debt for completing all of Council’s new projects.

An independent audit of the funding model for the Transforming Jetty Road, Glenelg, confirmed the validity of the Long-Term Financial Plan, the funding model, and the ability to pay off debt.

As part of the 2024-25 Annual Business Plan, rates for existing properties have been raised by 7.1% on average. The 7.1% increase is comprised of 4.8%, which aligns with Adelaide CPI, along with a 2.3% increase for the Transforming Jetty Road project.

At its meeting on 25 June 2024 the Annual Business Plan were adopted by Council.
