In 2022, the City of Holdfast Bay will rebuild two tennis courts (3 and 4) and install new sports lighting for all four courts at Dover Square Tennis Club.

Also included in the project are new bike stands. The Dover Square Tennis Club is a community-level sporting club providing training, competition, and social tennis opportunities for the local and broader community. The club was founded in 1932 and is affiliated with both the Glenelg and District Tennis Association and Tennis SA. The club is located between Broadway and Folkestone Road in South Brighton. The council's existing key facilities licensed by the club are four fenced acrylic-coated hard courts and clubrooms (including the Lou Kesting Community Hall).
