The detailed design work for the Williams Avenue rear oval access laneway has been completed. Construction work is expected to be undertaken and completed within the January 2024 school holidays.

The design includes a central garden swale which will separate the pedestrian and service vehicle access pavements. The pavement will be delineated with line-marking to provide clear direction for both pedestrian and service vehicle users. The swale garden will contain the existing Cook Island pine tree along with additional soft plantings, pebble mulch throughout, and it will be finished with concrete edging. Removable bollards will also be installed along the boundary adjacent the school crossing to ensure no vehicle movements are made through the crossing.
