Colley Terrace to reopen to vehicles on 16 March 2026

5 March 2026

The Jetty Road / Colley Terrace corner is set to reopen to private vehicles by 5pm on Monday 16 March, with all diverted bus routes returning to normal from the first service the next day.

Before the road reopens, bollards will be installed along Moseley Square, the eastern side of Colley Terrace and Jetty Road, west of Moseley Street and two large palm trees will be planted this week in the garden bed near Hope Street along with more low-level plants.

The petunias, which were temporarily planted to add colour to the garden beds over the Christmas and New Year period, have been removed and replanted in other public spaces around Holdfast Bay.

A new accessible parking space has been created on the eastern side of Colley Terrace, adjacent the Colley Towers Apartments, and will be available for public use and the taxi rank will also return to Colley Terrace and will be situated on the western side, adjacent the Glenelg Library.

The reopening of the Jetty Road / Colley Terrace corner to traffic means that Durham Street will also return to its normal traffic operations, which is one-way in a northerly direction between Jetty Road and Augusta Street.

Traffic will be able to enter Durham Street via a left-hand turn only from Jetty Road. A right-hand turn from Jetty Road into Durham Street will not be permitted.

Footpath paving works will continue on Jetty Road in small, isolated areas, and the Transforming Jetty Road project remains on track for completion in the second half of 2026.
