Project Update: Colley Terrace – Traffic and Stormwater Upgrade

5 June 2025

We are making solid progress on the Colley Terrace Traffic and Stormwater Upgrade, with several key components already completed to improve safety, accessibility, and stormwater management.

Works completed so far include:
• Installation of a new box culvert to enhance stormwater flow and reduce surface flooding.
• Decommissioning of outdated and inefficient stormwater infrastructure.
• Replacement of damaged and defective kerb and gutter to improve road drainage and appearance.
• Upgrade of pram ramps for improved alignment and full DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) compliance.
• Refurbishment of the central refuge island on Colley Terrace, including installation of DDA-compliant grab rails for safer pedestrian crossing.
• Removal and replacement of deteriorated concrete infrastructure around the roundabout area.
• Construction of a stormwater channel within the traffic island to help redirect water from the centre lane toward the southern kerb.
• Smoothing of the existing bump in the centre lane to improve vehicle comfort and safety.
• Replacement of aged paved sections on Colley Terrace and Anzac Highway with durable 230mm thick asphalt.

These upgrades are part of our ongoing commitment to delivering safer, more accessible, and better-performing infrastructure for our community. Thank you for your continued patience and support while we complete the next stages of work.
