Project Progress Update

13 July 2026

Works to install the new mainline are progressing well, with contractors having successfully installed approximately 800 metres of pipe from the northern end at Anderson Avenue through to the King Street Bridge.

This week, contractors are undertaking trenchless boring works beneath the entrance to the King Street Bridge and installing pipe through to the vicinity of the former Buffalo site/Wigley Reserve.

Subject to progress, crews are scheduled to mobilise to Jimmy Melrose Park during the week commencing 27 July and will continue working north through the Glenelg Foreshore Playspace, Brian Nadilo Reserve, Colley Reserve, and Wigley Reserve.

Advance warning signage has been installed throughout the Glenelg area to help keep the community informed of upcoming works and temporary changes to access arrangements.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while these essential infrastructure upgrades are delivered.
